Rich & Diane's '66 'Cudas - **SEE "ABOUT US" FOR SALE!!**
We found my 1966 Plymouth Barracuda in Paradise , CA on April 1,
1999 (The Red One; see "before & after" paint pics below!). I saw
an ad on April Fool's Day for "$400 OBO." I called & said "This is
a gag, right?" The guy says "No gag, lady stored it here, going thru
divorce & wants to sell." So I bought it for $400! I've done the
interior in 2000 in red velvet & red vinyl, doors, trunk, etc. Having
suspension done now, 11/2013, just had tired old slant 6 225 C.I.
motor top-end rebuilt, but planning a 360 V-8 with 3 deuces later
maybe. I also installed a nice stereo system in 2000. We found
Diane's 1966 Plymouth Barracuda (The Blue One) at Walmart in
early 2001 with a $700 OBO sign on it; it belonged to an employee.
It looked in rough shape, about the same as mine was in 1999, so I
thought $700 was a little high. The car disappeared, along with the
owner, who quit his job, then a few months later I saw it in a
friend's mechanic garage and asked him about it; he said the owner
was a young guy who didn't wanna pay to have engine diagnosed and
repaired, and they wanted $600. I thought that was fair, and
made a purchase for Diane. This car has a 273 V-8. We had a
machinist friend rebuild the motor in 12/2006. Still needs paint,
interior, and some suspension work, incomplete job done.

Oh, my "Free" '87 Dodge Ram Flatbed: In the
summer of 2005 Jay called me & told me a
customer brought an '87 flatbed in with a busted
piston, said he didn't wanna fix it, signed the pink
off, & left it. Jay said come & get it, so I did.
Buck & I rebuilt his 360, and dropped it in. Only
problem was the "butt ugly" rack on the back that

car show in May, 2007..Update, it's disabled,
Here's the newest addition, a '63 Chrysler Newport me & Buck found in a barn south of Corning: Tristan, a farmer in his 80's
approached me at the May Madness car show. It sat in his barn for 30 years, since 1977! See "before & after" pics below,
dirty, then after I washed it on the way home. It has an original 631 V-8 + push-button shifter. We picked it up in Sept., 2007
for $100. Tristan said he replaced the seats and interior with those from a Chrysler 300, a big upgrade years earlier. The
interior is nice. The body has a little minor rust, but no dents at all. Not sure what we will do but have fun with it. I gave it to
Diane Oct, 2008!!
|Finally! 10 years of waiting for a new paint job on 'Cuda #1! Below are several pics from "before," "during," and
